CLIENT BERGFREUNDE

While the ascent of Dalton Joe (7c+) in Wilderswil is not groundbreaking, the style of ascent was somewhat different. Forgotten and left to rust, Silvan removed the old bolts from Dalton Joe, deciding not to replace them. Returning this route to its natural state, he instead opted to climb it in traditional style.

With his successful ascent, this opens the discussion of climbing culture within climbing crags, and for the consideration of leaving some routes unbolted for ‘trad’ climbing.
